Your bike fit measured, not guessed
Pedalyze checks your position against professional fit ranges in under a minute. No studio visit, no β¬200 session, no waiting for an appointment.

Knee stays quite bent at the bottom β saddle is likely too low.
Hip is very open β comfortable, but costs aerodynamics.
Arms are tucked under the torso β reach may be too short.
Stop guessing. Ride further without the pain.
Pedalyze brings precision biomechanics to your home setup β at a fraction of the cost of an in-studio fit.
No stickers or markers needed
Simply upload a photo in your normal kit. AI pose estimation pinpoints your hip, knee, ankle and shoulder joints automatically in seconds.
Spot fit factors linked to discomfort
Instantly measure your exact saddle height, knee flexion and KOPS β angles commonly associated with knee pain, lower back fatigue and hand numbness.
Pro fit ranges, made simple
Compare your position against published fit ranges β knee flexion follows Holmes, Pruitt & Whalen (1994), the rest follow the KOPS and torso-angle conventions in common fitting practice. Get clear pass, warn or fail feedback on every angle, then share a link so your own fitter can review it with you.
Where the ranges come from: knee flexion of 25β35Β° at the bottom of the stroke comes from Holmes, Pruitt & Whalen, "Lower Extremity Overuse in Bicycling" (Clinics in Sports Medicine, 1994), which recommends 25β30Β° and is the most-cited number in bike fitting. KOPS is a long-standing fitting convention, not a law of biomechanics. Hip, torso, elbow and shoulder bands are our own reading of widely published road, comfort and TT fit guidance, widened for a 2D photo measurement. We are independent and are not affiliated with, or certified by, RetΓΌl, Steve Hogg, BikeFit or any other fitting system.
Pedalyze vs. in-studio bike fit
A quick screening for the common issues β saddle height, reach, bar drop. Not a replacement for a certified fitter if you're dealing with pain, injury or asymmetries.

- Knee flexion (6 o'clock)25.8Β°In range
Target 25β35Β°
Measured knee angle: 154Β°. Flexion = 180Β° β 154Β° = 25.8Β°.
No adjustment needed - Hip angle115.5Β°Out of range
Target 45β75Β°
Hip is very open β an upright position. Fine for comfort, costs aerodynamics.
An overly open hip pushes your torso upright, adding frontal area and drag.
- Torso angle from horizontal51Β°In range
Target 40β55Β°
No adjustment needed - Elbow angle164.6Β°In range
Target 150β165Β°
No adjustment needed - Shoulder angle64.9Β°Out of range
Target 80β100Β°
Arms are tucked under the torso; reach may be too short.
A short reach loads the lower back and can restrict breathing.

- 1Hip angle6 o'clock (bottom of stroke)
Hip is very open β an upright position. Fine for comfort, costs aerodynamics.
An overly open hip pushes your torso upright, adding frontal area and drag.
- 2Shoulder angle6 o'clock (bottom of stroke)
Arms are tucked under the torso; reach may be too short.
A short reach loads the lower back and can restrict breathing.
- 1KOPS offset (3 o'clock)3 o'clock (crank horizontal)
Knee sits ahead of the pedal spindle β try moving the saddle back.
Knee ahead of the spindle increases strain on the front of the knee.

When riders check their fit
Anything that moves your body or your contact points changes your position. These are the moments worth a check.
New bike day
The shop set it up by eye. Check the numbers before your first long ride.
Knee pain on long rides
Saddle height and fore/aft cause most knee complaints. Measure both in a minute.
New shoes or cleats
A different stack height moves your saddle height by millimetres you can feel.
Numb hands or a sore back
Check your reach, your bar drop and how much weight your torso angle puts on your arms.
Going lower and faster
See how far you can drop the front end before your hip angle starts to cost you power.
Setting up the indoor bike
Copy your outdoor position onto the trainer bike, and measure it instead of guessing.
Fitting a partner's bike
One photo each. No second appointment and no second fee.
After a fitting session
Confirm the changes stayed where the fitter put them, and re-check every time you adjust.

Questions riders ask first
How accurate is it compared to a professional bike fit?
Pedalyze checks your position against the published ranges described in "Where do your target ranges come from?" below, and it catches the common issues β saddle height, reach, bar drop. It is a data-driven first screening, not a replacement for a certified fitter if you have pain, injuries or asymmetries. One known approximation: the KOPS check uses your ankle as a pedal-spindle proxy, so it reads slightly rearward of a true plumb line.
Do I need special equipment?
No. A phone camera and something to keep the bike steady β a trainer, or a friend taking the photo β is all you need. You ride in your normal kit; no markers or stickers.
Why was my photo rejected?
Pedalyze checks every photo before it measures anything. If the camera is off-axis, tilted more than about 4Β°, the rider is cropped, or joints are hard to see, the photo is rejected instead of silently measured wrong. The report tells you exactly what to fix before you retake it.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. You get 1 free fit analysis every 7 days with the full angle overlay and pass/warn/fail results β no credit card required. The β¬29 Fit Session pass then gives you 30 days of unlimited saved analyses, comparisons over time and PDF export.
What happens to my photos and data?
Your photos are stored securely in cloud storage tied to your account, and your analysis results are saved to your history so you can track changes over time. You can delete your analyses at any time.
